You xPel wrapped the entire car. Or parts of it.

Great wheels. Which company and model?

No, it's a '14.

The whole car is wrapped. I didn't want the maintenance nightmare of the factory matte paint and I hear color matching is near impossible.

Wheels are Nutek Forged.

But of course!

Color matching, in case something happens, is exactly why I went with just Polar White. I visit New York City and Brooklyn somewhat often and these places are just full of haters. My other concern was the size of the car and trying to make it look less obvious and lighter/smaller. However, my other AMG is bright red.

Here is my diamond white, entire car is de-chromed apart from the centre grille as bumper needs to be removed to do that (the grille surrounding is wrapped in black). Roof rails, windows trims, door handles etc all wrapped in gloss black. Also added black hood and trunk emblems, black badges all around, edition 1 wheels centre caps and red strips on mirror to match Edition 1 style and some little details.

2015 Night style has black roof rails and windows trims from the factory which is good news as they are the hardest parts to wrap. Some iphone pics here.

That is hot!

Love the red trim - wonder how a little strip on the bottom of the front grill would look?

I have a modding bug similar to yours, love the black trim/emblems!

Nice car Jordan! Also like the red accent... Makes me want to try something similar but maybe in orange/gold to match calipers. Where did you get the stripe?

I thought about it, but after seeing a black wagon with red bottom lip on the front bumper I decided not to do it. I want to keep the car simple and clean, I think the current front end is good as it is. I may change the AMG nameplate in the grille to red

Thanks Kart. I just asked the vinyl shop to cut two red strips in measured width then I put them on myself. The width should be from the bottom line of the mirror to the bottom of the signal light.

2014 E63 AMG S Wagon
In Dolomote Brown

Config:
Dolomite Brown Metallic (528)
Black Nappa Leather (821)
Driver Assistance Package (997)
AMG Surround View Package (995)
19" 10 Spoke - Black (752)
B&O Sound (811)
Heated Rear Seats (872)
AMG Night Styling Package (P60)
Rear Side Air Bags (298)
SplitView (Command) (867)

Mods:
De-badged front quarter "bi-turbo"
Plasti-Dipped Black all chrome badges and trim on rear
30% window tint in FormulaOne Pinnacle Series

I struggled with the color selection too more than any options. Enjoy it though....it is a good problem to have when you think about it. "What color am I going to get my MB AMG E63 S in?" We are a lucky lot all !!

Im sooo confused on color...your dolemite is classy, and yours looks aggressive!

I'm debating

Diamond White (wife cannot stand any white cars)

Iridium (have not seen live)

Palladium (my old X5 M color)

Obsidian Black (always love black, but hate the maintenance/cleaning)

with Night package...interior trim carbon, and seats likely black.

All great colors. My final choices (for an E63 S sedan) were Iridium, Silver Steel Gray and Lunar Blue. Ended up going with the Lunar Blue. One big benefit of Iridium Silver is it will look cleaner than just about any other color you could pick.

I recently saw a Lunar Blue 2014 E63 S wagon in Stamford, Connecticut and it looks absolutely breathtaking.

Your ride looks great. And very unique. You may never personally see another E63 S wagon in your color on the road. I kind of like that.

044 Designo Magno Alanite Grey or 049 Designo Magno Cashmere white

**any owners of these color, please let me know if you would do the matte again, and if they are easy or difficult to maintain. I've read they are low low maintenance and don't wax, and not too concerned with having to paint a whole panel

B) Upholstery to be decided

1) 278 designo mystic red
2) 255 designo platinum white
3) 811 or 861 standard black nappa

Trim to be AMG Carbon Trim

C) Packages chosen

-AMG Night Package

-Premium Package

-Inelligent Drive Package

Optional equipment to be decided

Bang and Olufsen - don't listen to much radio other than sports radio, but have always chosen the premier system. Interested to know about the "cool" factor of the tweeters that illuminate.

Rear entertainment

I have 4 kids, but usually reserve the Escalade for family outings. Is the system worth it? Is it too big and bulky? Buy a few more ipads instead?

Acoustic Laminated Glass - is this just to reduce exterior noise?

Privacy Glass - its cheaper than a tint? Too much of a dark to light cutoff from rears to drivers?

Would love to hear the forum input. I have a bit of OCD and seem to change my mind everyday.

Thanks for your input!
In North America we cannot get factory tinted windows for the wagon (and non SUV passenger cars). Acoustic Laminated Glass cannot be combined with the tinted windows either.

I personally went with the Mystic Red interior because I wanted to do something different than the typical Black that you see- but of course this is all personal preference. White looks great but will stain with darker jeans.

Factory matte looks nice and can be easy to take care of but any scratches will make it difficult to fix as mentioned earlier. If you go for a factory matte, I'd recommend a full clear matte wrap over the car. To achieve the same look you can just apply matte clear over any glossy paint (and this also opens up the choices of matte colors that you can get to the whole range of paint offerings.

I happen to be a blue lover so I went Lunar Blue on my sedan (really wanted the Designo Mystic Blue from the CLS but not willing to pay $9600 for it).

I am getting the acoustic laminated glass. Not only does it reduce sound (probably important for me as I am putting on the super loud Renntech sport mufflers) but it makes the glass shatterproof (just like the front windshield in a collision which will spare the occupants some glass cuts in a collision (but will make it next to impossible to kick in and break the side glass if you get into a water situation and need to escape). The acoustic laminated glass will also make it more difficult for someone trying to assault you in your car to break the side window glass. Overall I went for it due to sound and collision safety reasons.
Have you heard the RENNtech Sport Mufflers in person? I can't really tell how much louder the car is from their own video but I am considering them. You going to do downpipes too?

When I was at Renntech in late August, I heard an E63 with both downpipe and sport mufflers. With both it is extraordinarily loud. The ground shakes. I went with sport mufflers and not downpipe in addition because I wanted to sound to be loud but not quite that loud. And I really didn't want to spend 5000 bucks to get 10 more horsepower.

And I got the acoustic laminated glass to keep the interior a little more quiet. It will still be loud but the double paned glass plus the laminate will take the edge off the sound.

Do you know if that car had catted or de-catted pipes?

The car had the sport cats. It is featured on the blog on the Renntech website. That thing is soooo loud.

E63 S build

Needing some opinion / help on choosing between the carbon fibre exterior package or night package.
I'm choosing tenorite (steel) gray.

I want the carbon fibre but only the matte grey rims are available plus the front spoiler has the aluminum strip.

The night package has the spoiler all in black and black matte rims but the black plastic on the mirrors and lower door frame look cheap.

Anyone have any pictures of the E63 S in Tenorite with carbon fibre exterior packages? I think the matte grey rims and the aluminum strip on the front spoiler won't look as good and are pushing me towards the night package.

Can't believe MB is so restrictive on the packages. You should be able to add the CF you want separately (engine cover and mirror caps would be perfect!

Thoughts? Pictures?

I was also debating night package vs standard trim (cf is way too expensive for the look it gives imho) and i'm glad i went with night package (on palladium car). The gloss black trim does not look cheap in person. Plus they added some black window trim (and roof rails on wagon) for 2015. All thats left to black out is trunk trim front grille and badges...

Thanks for the comments! I've been flipping back and forth between palladium and tenorite and CF and night packages. It is maddening haha.
I really would only want the CF mirror caps and engine cover and the cost for the package plus only able to have the matte light grey rims is making it not viable.
I think the matte grey rims would be too light for the palladium color.
Yours looks awesome and is making me think about palladium again!!!

This picture has pretty much sold me on tenorite and the night package.

Get the CF exterior pack and just wrap the excess silver trim with gloss black vinyl film. The net outcome will be what you desire and is extremely easy to do. In regards to the wheels- I guess you can always paint or change those later on down the road.

That is another idea for the CF front grill although I've never done any vinyl wrap before. For a set of OEM black 10 spoke rims, looking at about $6800
