Yes.

Refer to page 200 of the manual provided with your vehicle.

You gotta press on that pedal. Really press on it. Same goes for the Race Start feature.

Pretty sure all E63's have it.

Mine stopped working for a while too, I just took it to the dealer and they fixed it.Not sure what the problem was.

Give the brake pedal a quick push/tap and it will lock.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
To this day, I still can't get the hang of it. It seems to have a mind of its own.

There's no trick to it... When u come to a stop, depress the brake pedal fast and to the ground ... I think it's more about the acceleration of your foot to the ground that triggers it ... The car has to be at a complete stop... So come up off the brake slightly so as not to cause the car to roll forward again and then depress as quickly as possible

the W211 had the HOLD and STOP feature.
When STOP is activated the car with brake on its own when the throttle is let off. usually for stop and go traffic.

Salesperson got mine to activate, but it takes a lot of finesse imo.

OR just step on the brake pedal hard and then release.

I depress the brake about 1/2 way, let off a little, and then press down hard. Works every time. "HOLD" appears on the center display. Thats said, i use it once every 2 months or so when Im starting on a steep hill.

sorry to hear it. I think mine's working fine. I do notice a blue "P" symbol sometimes appears where the "Hold" appears when it is holding. Still got a lot to read through in the manual, so still don't know exactly what this is. Does come in handy at long lights. Still don't trust it 100%

that blue "P" is for parking guidance, i believe. i had the same question and that's what the dealer told me. it's for when the car is searching for a place that you can parallel park. i don't believe it has anything to do with HOLD.

i, too, have had to get used to the HOLD feature. i find that when i hold the break pedal down about half way, release it just a little, and then push it to the floor, it always works. HOLD appears on the display and i can release my foot from the pedal. just my $0.02.

Thanks to this thread i have found that my new ML63 also has the hold feature, not as nice as the one that was in my BMW X5 but still useful.
