Ordering 2015 E63 S wagon
Getting lots of advice on playing the game on price and ordering a 2015 E 63 S wagon.
I'll keep you posted on the details!
Getting closer I think.

One additional piece of advice
Be sure to order the 360 degree camera. It has come in very handy in protecting the front air dam from parking lot bumper damage. Our (former) V70R rode as low as the E63S Estate and we had to either exit the car to assure that we were fully in a parking space or risk damaging the front spoiler.

That is really good advice as I was on the fence regarding the Premium package. I wanted the Key N Go but wasn't sure if I needed or would use the 360 cam

If you're in the US, the Premium 1 Package (P01) is standard. Same goes for KEYLESS GO (889).
I don't think you could order a unit without them even if you wanted to do so.
Since they are standard, Surround View (995) is simply an $800 option package.

I have surround View. Its cool but I forget I have it most of the time and park by old school judgment. I have to remind myself I have it.
What I would like is if we could keep the rear camera screen on as we drive. It stays on till a certain speed the turns of fast

The camera is not very good quality. I tested it backing out of the garage, and if I used the camera to judge distance I would have hit the door frame. Not clear enough detail. The camera in my wives Ford is not 360 but much better day and night.

Don't get me wrong
The camera may not be good but if I could only have one car, the E63 wagon is it. My wife keeps reminding me to drive the others, but I cannot get past that rumble when you first start it.

The lens covers collect road grime. Really bad.
When you're backing out of the garage switch the view to just the flank cameras. It's very helpful for any sort of a squeeze move.

I agree, the camera is crap. It makes me feel as if my eyesight is going when I try to use it. The 360 is fuzzy at best, and the front and rears aren't much better, but at least they have that red line.

I don't think you can expect the german cars to excel in gimmicky stuff like the camera. If you can't do it correct don't even go there. How about the tack on front distance warning at the base of the windshield. This is my favorite car for the street ever, and you just have to overlook the add on stuff.

You know, after paying for the wheel/tire insurance, I probably shouldn't even care about using a camera. The only reason I need some backup, during backups, is that I don't want to scrape that right rear against the curb. Almost forgot that these things park themselves until I came across the section in the manual. Gotta try it once, but can't see actually using it for real.
