Yes easy to do. Just make sure you clean them real thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and dry them so it will stick good. Rear star is a pita! I have to do it again since it's starting to peel.

I used the same trim vinyl on the rear chrome strip that I used on the window surrounds. Its works great. (gloss black on a gloss black car 
)
I bought a new rear star and had it tint-clearcoated, and I tint-clearcoated an E63 and AMG badge for the rear, but I've been keeping it debadged for now. Just the tinted star in the middle.
Theres something magical about a debadged E63 wagon to me. Might just be me.

I debadged my wife's GL63 (at her request) but I'm just gonna leave it on the wagon. I plan on modding it eventually so I figure I'll just let the flag fly.

People stare, listen to the sound, and just don't know what it is. The other day I stopped for coffee and three construction workers on top of a building next door hollered great car! Last week an older gentleman leaving the coffee shop asked " what the hell is that" You do get funny reactions

if you want a glossy black finish on the badges to match the night pkg, I would recommend to remove the badge to paint and put them back on afterwards. I used plastidip plus regular gloss paint to achieve gloss black finish. Do NOT use plastidip + glossifier with badge on the car, it will take forever to clean the residues and it is not that glossy at all.
