I wish the parktronic could detect a low height obstruction/obstacle like a parking curb... I've been using the "sys" button to jump into 360 view and base my parking on that... But at times I get dangerously close to scraping the low front end of the '63

Anyone have any other tricks?
If I'm parking in a spot that involves a curb near the front of my car, I'll sometimes look at my car's reflection on adjacent cars. This method isn't always available but it's an easy way to gauge where the front end is. Obviously this trick is usually useless at night.
Also, sometimes I'll just back the car into a spot that involves a curb. This allows me to rely on two things: 1) The back-up camera view; 2) The extra height offered by the rear end of the car.

As I'm still trying to get a feel on where the front end is, I find myself shorting the parking block sometimes up to a foot, foot and a half. Better safe, and look like a jackass, than sorry. I've said it before in another thread, but the parking cameras just don't cut it. Better to do it the old fashioned way.
