4G/LTE and New Multimedia for 2015?
4G/LTE and New Multimedia for 2015?
I came across the press release. Kinda odd since the 2015 model year is coming to an end. Does this apply only to the European models? I just ordered a wagon in Canada and would hate to miss out on a possible updates/upgrade.
"Mercedes-Benz has further enhanced the E-Class in terms of a number of details. The key new feature of the 2015 generation vehicle is a new internet-enabled telematics generation boasting high-performance multimedia devices and navigation systems and enabling convenient use of the versatile options afforded by modern communications technology."

I believe it may be released in Europe in December and thus would be a MY2015 for a short period of time. In Europe they don't adhere to the same model year naming conventions that we do in the US.
It really doesn't make sense for Mercedes to upgrade the W212 at this point. Perhaps 2015 refers to the calender year and these applies to the next gen E-Class.
Oh well, I will enjoy the wagon for now. It will probably be 2 years before we see the next gen E63 in North America.

It is highly likely the telematics from the facelifted CLS to be implemented. They share similar Command units.
