I'm interested in learning if anyone has added a internet router to the car to get WiFi?
If you had the MB In-Vehicle Hotspot installed, does it display thru the Comand screen? If so, can you enter information such as Googling an address, or run Waze on the Comand's display?
What did the system cost?
Must you pay MB for a subscription or can you use a prepaid Sim card?
If you bought an aftermarket WiFi router, what brand did you buy and are you satisfied with it?

I guess no one has one. I got a chance to use only the internet when I had a loaner car and yes it was displayed on the COMMAND. Address entry was very difficult and it appeared really slow. I am not sure how much it costs but you have to get the subscription through MB.

for other devices, but alas the built in inter webs is slow as molasses. I don't think it uses a sim card.
I think it uses a rope with two tin cans

I learned that my phone has built in wifi hotspot. I also learned you can buy a T-Mobile wifi hotspot for $110 and get 5gig of data per month for $10. The TMO device charges using one of the car's USB port.

Definitely no need to mess with MB's wi-fi with all those other available options.
