Racingbrake.com makes a very agressive racing pad if you'd like, but it was back to the Z06 for me.

I also had PreSafe go off a couple times before I figured I had to stay away from other cars in the brake zones. Luckily I managed that pretty easily without killing the fun. Its a very fast car, but not a good track car at all.

The crazy people that took the E to the track will fully understand. For me was braking and handling was good till about 10 minutes (6 laps). That is only if you try to balance the tire/brake overheating issue with speed. I am still trying to get a fast lap in. The last two minutes (7-8 laps) I can sense the front tires is getting overheated and definitely more understeer came out hence I need to go back to the pits. agree its a fast car but not a track car unless you have deep pockets for consumables.

Would love to see the wagon with some proper brake tuning, dialed in suspension tuning, and proper lightweight wheels and RACE SLICKS! That would be fun...!

I don't think brake ducts will help with this E wagon and this particular track. Might be a bit better if the track had huge straight away and smooth transition through each corners without a lot of braking. In the end I believe it will still become the same result but you may get more time and sessions in.

As we speak, I'm already working on the brakes (may work with carbotech or RB), suspension (lower it and more camber), and upgraded tires. I got 5 sets of hoosiers/V710 sitting in the garage for that one sunny day. Still debating if I should go AMS or Renntech. The bone stock stuff is to set up a baseline for my lap time and data acquisition. I believe I can cut minimum 2.5 seconds down and this will allow me to pass these car blockers easily.

I'm surprised to see Vancouverites here. Should gather a track day with E63 and C63 all together for a day. That will be a hilarious scene. I do see C63 out there but even that it is a rare event. You gotta bring the E out at least once just to feel what it is like. You don't want the oem dust pads anyways. I wonder what is your track cars.

RB has the most complete brake upgrade for MB C63 & E63, well more than just the brake pad.

As an example we are now offering CCM brakes for C63/E63 as track options

Carbon Ceramic Brake for C63

Brake Series brake upgrade for C63/S/507 is another affordable package to better equip C63 for track task:

Black Series brakes on C63

In addition to our light weight two piece rotors and brake kits, we also offer highly regarded caliper rebuild/upgrade components such as high temperature dust boots, stainless steel pistons, oil seals etc. which are favored in communities such as BMW, EVO, Camaro, Corvette, Porsche, GT-R where track racers tend to burn out the OE dust boots, and crack their pistons.

THERE IS ONLY FRONT AND REAR TOE ADJUSTMENT OEM!

AT K-MAC WE SAW THE NEED AND MANUFACTURE PRECISELY ADJUSTABLE (SINGLE WRENCH, ON CAR) FRONT CAMBER AND CASTER AND REAR CAMBER (WITH EXTRA TOE) KITS.

Track days adjusting front for extra negative Camber, track width and less understeer. Along with extra positive Caster for reduced dive, lift, quicker turn in.

While rear adjusting, fine tuning also for maximum traction, tire wear or to reduce oversteer, increase track width.

Alternative (for front only) is the inaccurate "one only position" offset fluted bolts. But these only offer .3 of one degree (1/8" / 3mm) and to change setting means labour intensive dis-assembly each time.
The K-MAC system offers 3 to 4 times the adjustment range with precise (ongoing) adjustment capability - adjustment being carried out accurately (under load direct on alignment rack).

It means also no more repeat trips to dealers or alignment shops trying to return vehicle to factory specs to resolve steering pull or premature, costly inner edge tire wear. The result of curb 'knock' damage worn bushings. load carrying, altering suspension height or fitting wide profile tires/wheels.

For the rear - there is available "Camber Arms" -
But these upper arms to reduce inner edge rear tire wear need to move top of tire outwards reducing essential clearance "top of tire to outer fender".

The K-MAC patented design bushings resolve this problem by adjusting lower, not upper arms (front and rear). They also replace the main (highest wearing) suspension bushes at the same time and have twice the load bearing area. With the front K-MAC bushings being 2axis/self aligning without the OEM oil filled/air voided bushes.

Result is improved brake/traction and steering response. Note - most aftermarket bushings (even though oil/air voids are deleted) wheel hop, loss of traction can increase. As today's multi link suspension arms are therefore restricted and can bind, lock up as they are prevented from travelling through their required arcs.

All kits come with instructions and bush extraction/insertion tubes

(MB World Member Heiss Rod has kindly provided step by step picture sequence re front bush installation.
