I'm not the biggest fan of that diffuser but it does look like it's been made well and fits great. Congrats man.

And damn, I'm loving how pristine your exhaust tips are looking.

^ funny you mention the tips because this diffuser covers them up a lot unless you have them extended, the only thing I don't like.......it is pretty beefy though

^ that's a good point.. to be fair, I need to get mine extended by an inch too (boca diffuser).

But generally though, the condition of his exhaust tips is beautiful. Helps to bring the rest of the rear end out and add presence. Ahhh...I'm loving the E63 in general tbh nowadays.

Thanks Celicasaur!

The exhaust tips get my love once a week every week and use 3M Chrome polish to shine them up!

@hyperion667 @Celicasaur the body shop I took my car to for diffuser work said that the tips cannot be extended because it was all one piece. Didn't make sense to me because I thought the tips were changeable (if needed)

Really? That's strange man. Surely they can just chop the base of the pip and add a little extra material, then weld back up again? That's what I'm planning to do with mine.

Yea that's where I got mine from

@Celicasaur that's a good idea. I'll be heading back out to the body shop to smoke/tint my head and tail lights. Let's see what they say about the tips.

How are you going to black out the chrome? I'm having a hard time finding a lasting method.

Thanks.

Here you go sir. Some pics of chrome wrapped in 3M vinyl wrap. I used glossy black from 1080 Series.

Bootlid chrome wrapped

Handles wrapped as well

Thanks for the pics. I was told I shouldn't wrap mine where I live because of the weather changes. The east coast US has big swings in temps and the vinyl will get stretched out. I'm hoping for a permanent option.

Your car looks good.

Can't be worse weather than what we have! Currently, we are baking in an average temperature of 42 C (107F) with humidity at 80% making it feel like 50C weather!

I used vinyl on my window trim, bootlid chrome strip, front grill surround and roof rails last summer and it is holding strong even after the coldest winter I can remember... and now we are hitting 90's!! Best option IMO, better than plasti dip.

Thanks. I'll try the vinyl route and see how it does.
Should they remove the chrome to get under it or just cover to the edges? Any special tips to make sure it turns out great?

No need to remove any part. The guy just needs to know what he's doing.
