i drive them all, fast and hard
battery died kinda
the other day i was in my car waiting for some poeple and was listening to the radio, usually when i open the door it turns off but i think when i went in for my meeting the radio stayed on, for about 2 hours
when i came back the electrics were still working but the car would not sstart...i was able to do a quick jump start and it started fine..no problems since
wondering if it was just from the radio ( if i actually did leave it on) or something else
ill check the battery with a volt meter later today
does warrenty cover batteries

A volt meter wont tell you much about your battery condition. If you get a low voltage with just a volt meter your battery is shot for sure. Battery voltage needs to be checked under load. You likely just ran it down and you will be fine. But, you are at 3ish years, and depending on different factors yours could be on its way out.
I recommend the next time it needs a jump, you call road side service and hang out for a half an hour at the most. The MB dude will be there with a new battery for FREE!!!
Good Luck!

Best time to get your monies worth for road side assistance and get a new battery. Our 2012 factory warranty is coming up soon and the battery is not cover under the EL warranty.

Not covered under extended warranties for sure.
Also, battery needs to test as bad when a road side tech shows up. He will load test it. However, based on what I witnessed when he did mine, it was quick and hardly fully diagnostic. I sense if your car simply wont start and they come out, you will get a new battery. The dealership they work for makes money from the factory! Simple as that.
Good luck.

Dont know where you are located, but here in San Jose, from the time I made the call to road side until the time the tech had the battery installed in my garage was less than one hour!
Let us know how it turns out.
Good Luck.

yeah , all was good, tech called got there in about 30 min, used 2 tools to determine that battery read 11volts and to replace it...so they took care of it...nice

Wow, hopefully my battery will die while the car is still under factory warrantee, guess I'll have to sit there and listen to the radio more with the car shut off.

Had the same issue twice already. Listened for a radio with the engine off for like 10 minutes, then the car would not start.. Went away for two weeks, but the car started without a problem after I came back. Does it mean the radio/nav unit draws so much excessive voltage? My last batter on a lexus lasted for 9 years. This one is less than 5 years old but more than 4, so no free replacement for me.. I still need to test it at Autozone just make sure it is batery which is a culprit here..

I have a 2010 E 350, 78K. Every time I'm overseas, my wife has the battery die. I brought it to MB to check the charging system etc. and everything is fine. It just happened again with me home, (12th time?), so I put the battery on a trickle charge to make sure it was full. I pulled the cover over the battery after 2 hours because it was still drawing 2 amps, and found the AC fan still running! Something is not triggering the AC fan to shut off. I restarted the car, turned the AC off, and the fan stayed off when I shut it down. I then restarted and left the AC on; it turned off as it should. Anyone know what would randomly keep the AC blower motor indefinitely running with the car off, locked, and key not present?

Secondary battery took a dump last week, just got it swapped out under warranty. Even more hilarious, the first secondary battery they gave me was no good either, QC hard at work

Once a battery drains to the point of jumping, you lose power from the battery. Its basically gone at that point. Car may start, but listen to the radio or leave the door open for 10 minutes and then it won't. Pretty much always best to get it replaced.

Started a few months ago with the windows not rolling up all the way, almost as with an obstruction. Then, the pano roof would not one touch close either. In either case, holding down the button fixed the issue.
Then, got auxilliary battery malfunction on the dash and that took distronic and active lane assist away, so figured it was about time to head in.
