2015 E63 AMG S - front too low

I must say that the front bumper is super low.
I have a car lift in the garage and it can't go up the ramps - too steep, will rip the front off if I do.

Barely clears the incline where my driveway joins the road - in the winter will have to scrape that area clean every time there is a snowstorm or ice storm.

Will definitely be plowing snow with the front bumper if driving in a snowstorm too.

Love the car but wondering what can be done. Desperately need 1 inch of front clearance...

I'm in the process of deciding what to do because I was involved in a rear end (see my other thread) so if I recover diminished value from the other guy's insurance I will replace this car.

I love, love the way it drives but ML/GL63 is a much more practical choice for me...

I tried Tesla and I liked how you can raise it up high enough to clear obstacles - but fit and finish are nowhere near MB level...

Would have been happy to keep it the E63 as a a summer car and get some kind of cheap SUV for the winter, but I already have a summer car - a small convertible, and I don't want to sell it and 3 cars is not an option.

Yeah... Sounds like you need to look at the SUVs

Sux you may have to get rid of the beast

I was only once caught in a bad snowstorm in the E 63 and it was pretty treacherous as I do not have winter tires and there was a fair amount of snow on the ground.

A front lift using air bags to replace the stock spring setup might be the only solution to your (and my) problem that I'm facing as well.

Have you researched this already?
Is this feasible?

I've looked into it briefly. There's a decent amount of parts and I'd have to mount an air tank somewhere in the car (takes up room) so I haven't looked into it too seriously at the moment. Also be prepared to pay a few grand for a good setup.

For what it is worth, I'm driving my E63 wagon through the winter in Toronto. With a good set of winters, I've had zero issues.

That said, I can see the appeal of GL.

Toronto? This is reassuring.
No damage to the front so far?

Are the facelift E63s lower in the front than the pre facelift models? The only time I worry about scraping the front is when I'm parking and the space has a concrete stopper.

I ran my 2015 E63 with Pirelli Sottozero winter tires all winter long through a very harsh winter in New York and it did just fine. One issue however is with the Renntech full tune and sport mufflers and the car 67% power delivery to the rear wheels (67 percent of 859 lbs ft is a lot) it still can get tail happy if you're not careful with the throttle.

Runs perfectly. Love it. Almost 10k miles. Renntech mods work flawlessly.

That's awesome, do you run it hard most of the time? I imagine in the summer you're probably using the Porsche more often than the AMG, don't you have a wedding coming up? LOL

Wedding already happened -- my brother. I alternate between the Porsche and the AMG. I have an 80 mile round trip commute to work and both cars do great on it.

I don't run either of my cars that hard except on meets and driving events. Both cars will be at this Friday's roll races at Pocono Raceway that are being run by Slipstream. I intend to race them against each other at some point. They will both take on all comers.

My 991 TTS was in Goldrush Rally 7 this June (I did the full rally) and it was the third fastest car at Albuquerque a dragway among the Goldrush cars - only the Veyron and 918 were faster. Destroyed the Huracan and 12C among many others.

Just place a 2x4 or 2x6 on each side in front of the ramp. Drive up on the boards before going onto the ramps.
