997 Pkg: Proofing the Pre-Safe 2015 wagon

I recently tested the Pre-Safe functions on my 2105 E63S wagon, with some alarming results. Using a cardboard panel the size of my car, I drove the car into the panel at a crawl. The proximity alarms went off just before impact, which followed with no noticeable braking. I repeated the test at 10-15 mph, which time I got no proximity alarm and blasted through the test panel. Under highway conditions, the distronic functions operates normally, I have not had a Pre-Safe failure message (of which I am familiar as snow/ice will cause that problem), and the car has only 12k miles.
Big bucks for small comfort!

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
I think you have to be going a certain speed in order for you to get only partial braking in that scenario. Only in critical situations with the braking initiate on its own
