euro seat in US car?
something that's annoyed me about the W212 E63 is the lack of a dynamic passenger seat... one of the best things about the ol' E55 was someone's reaction when their seat bolster inflated on them for the first time, AGHH!!! what was that!?!? oh just the seat...

in this picture there is clearly the dynamic control panel on the passenger seat, despite never being an option if you go to mbusa.com and configure the car. is it possible to swap the seat for one of these?

I've been researching and digging into the possibility of retrofitting the Dynamic/Multicontour/Massaging passenger seat into my 15 E63 Wagon for well over a year now. It's a very complicated matter as getting the hardware is considered the easy part (you can order all parts a la carte over the parts counter from a European dealer). What is difficult is getting the programming from the car to talk to your new fancy hardware. MB computers lock out the programming from making this possible to do with an MB STAR computer. I'm currently in the process of finding a solution that would work without the use of programming and instead a module that talks to the CANBUS. You can PM me your email/phone number and we can discuss this more in depth as it's much more complicated that simply "buying the seat and installing it."
