I got the 20" Michelin pilot super sport and they hang onto the road like its on rails and they are super quite. My is a daily driver so going with drag tires is not I would go for. Thanks for the sure suggestion though.

I wanted the Michelin's for my CLS, but they were on backorder for the 305s. So I ended up going with the Pirelli P-Zero Nero.

That was what I had before the current Michelin and am really happy with them.

toyo r888's are not drag radials.... there are DOT street legal road coarse tires..... they handle better than street tires or drags, straight line grip better then street tires but not better than drags, and handle better in the rain than drags but not as good as street tires...

basically if you dont drive in the rain all the time then the r888's are going to handle and grip way better then your Michelin pilot super sport tires.... the only place the michelins will be better is in heavy rain

if you have an ams turbo upgrade on RWD car then street tires are never going to be able to put down all that power... i couldnt even get PSS to hook on my E55 and you should have about +150 whp more than it did

try the r888's... you will love them with all that power

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll do a little search and maybe I'll get it after my Michelin wears out. Thanks again.

No. It hasn't been lowered. I plan on lowering it in the near future. Just undecided on how. ELM or lowering links, etc.

I was recommended with the KW Has with lowering links. Got it in the garage that I need to get around to have it install.

I spoke with KW earlier today & they don't offer anything for my application. So it looks like either links or Renntech ELM.

The reason they have access to it is because AMG gives it to them, they still work actively together on a bunch of Skunk work projects.
And I am not talking about the day to day Brabus operations.

Sorry I should have been more clear in the initial post.
They (a very small group of them) work very very closely with AMG on allot of special projects.

Very few of these things gets back or rolled out into their consumer products.

when the 6.3 came out they were the only ones for about 4 years that could do a ODBII upgrade. because they had the keys for it.

Just because we can alter fuel and boost maps does not mean we have access to valve timing and everything else.

I am not sure i have seen other tuners capable of limiting torque while pushing up HP, they all seem to follow the same graph. anyway 2 cents..

their tune for this engine is with a 6.0 liter increase in size...so it should be most powerful but never seen one run...mythical

As a daily driver, noise was not a option. The catted down pipes is satisfying with the tune. Guys know that you get to your turbos without removing the engine, right ? Just saying.

Yeah turbos can be changed out easily since they're integrated into the log exhaust manifolds.

Have you even looked in our engine bay?

I have an E55, also equally tight under the hood. But for manifolds you can unbolt the engine mounts and use a floor jack to jack up the engine up a few inches and then you can get to the manifold bolts. It's tricky, but you don't need to entirely remove the engine.

Oh bummer, I was hoping they can access the turbos from underneath the car. With the "Hot inside V" arrangement of the new TT 4.0L, the turbos will likely just be pulled from the top from now on.

I had contemplated for a while because the engin needed to come out, but finally pull the trigger. Now or never, but my E63 is now fully awake and responds on the tap is way better than just the ECU tune and catted downpipes.
