I was also a brake virgin until a month ago when I decided to do the brakes on my Saab. Quite easy once you follow the steps. I read and watched a couple of youtube videos and am happy with dollars saved! Went ahead and did rotors/pads/SS brake lines and fluid flush)

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
I'll be looking forward to seeing that. Hopefully just removal of the pad retaining pins is needed. I would hate to remove the whole caliper unless I know the torque specs for the main bolts because I tend to over-torque them.

I ordered Porterfield RS4's for the front for $299 and asked the dealer for labor only, and they came back with a reasonable (I am going from memory here), $248. I really need to check to see if the fronts or the rears are the ones squeaking and order and do both at the same time. I am not letting them replace my rotors unless they show me they are shot, and even then I'll probably source the rotors myself. Did I read that someone had theirs replaced under warranty? Mine has 24,000 miles, CPO and extended Benz warranty...hell, I think I am still under the original warranty.
