2014 e63 s vs 2015 e63 s which one should I buy
I am in process of making a decision on either a used certified 2014 E63 s 4matic with less than 15k miles vs new 2015 e63 s 4matic.
Both cars are equally loaded.
The price point on both are within my range 80k for used and 93k for new.
Should I get the 2014 and save 13k?

You are buying a brand new 2015 in 2016?

I'd buy the used one if all looked good
It's already taken the hit and you have CPO warranty

I'd say make an offer on the 2015 and see how willing they are to move it. If you can get a good deal on a new one and break it in, why not. Makes sense as well if your planning on keeping it long term.

Didn't know about the MCT upgrade, but I would add another vote for the 2014 CPO. With the price difference, you could add the full range of Weistec tranny upgrades and a tune!

Was wondering if they were the same color? The iridium silver is nice, but I'm partial to the metallic blues that are available. Color might tip it for me.

Read about the complaints from 2015 mct owners... 2015 and 2014 no real difference mechanically in mct and I got mct software upgrade and mine drives smooth
2015 e63S owners complain about same throttle lag and some have clunking with up or downshifting

Thank you all. Got the 2014 E63 s today.
Had a nice 100 miles trip back home and did the entire trip in sports+ mode. Love it!
I am a little surprised by the exhaust note though. Is there anything I can do to enhance the exhaust note? I was expecting the exhaust note to be louder than what I have experienced so far... Maybe I am missing some setting...

Congrats! If you want it LOUD, then the Renntech sport mufflers are the way to go although some users have reported droning while cruising on the highway. AMS also sells a cat back exhaust and it is not as loud as the Renntech. I recently got the AMS catted downpipes, but kept the stock exhaust and it sounds stock below 2000 rpm while giving a more aggressive rumble when you nail the throttle.

Definitely do not want to the droning.
Will do some reading on the AMS.
Are there any warranty issues with these upgrades?

Any upgrade can void your warranty ... Caution advised

Think carefully about this. I don't need sound to know a car is fast. Noise was great when I was playing with muscle cars years ago but I don't want my E63 making noise while I'm driving down the road IMHO.

That's the exact reason why I went with the downpipes only and not an exhaust as well. The car sounds stock when cruising around and only gives a slightly more aggressive rumble when you step on it.
