Question Hey guy's need a litle help-->pics inside

I'm in the market for an E63, and I saw Chris harris review on the 2010 E63. He said it was great with that old school sound. I think the same engine was in the 2011, and then in 2012 there were 2 engines picture below. can you give me some tip or issues with each vehicle and which year E63 should i concentrate on?

I really love the sound, and is one of the engines pictured below NA?

Thank you for all the knowledge, you have learned here...

2011 last 6.2 N.A. , 2010 6.2L may have head bolt issue. 2011's interior trim is nicer. 2011 also had a slight bump in horsepower. 2012 gets the biturbo.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Yes, sound from the 6.2L NA is certainly unmatched by the current biturbo IMO. Some early 2011 6.2L also has the headbolt issue. 6.2L also potentially has other issues ie worn cam lobes, tappet, valve lifters, etc that MB should have gone in and cleaned up. On the other hand, the 6.2L is the only engine in history completely engineered from the ground up by AMG.

I 100% disagree with this. I've had both, and prefer the sound of the TT. Both of them were castless, and x-piped.

2011 AMG E63
IMHO, the sound is a non issue on these cars as the cars are quiet anyway. Turbos have much more mod potential, but when the car is just going to spin the tires it doesn't really matter. I would wait until the AWD turbos come into the price range if they aren't already in your price range.

Hmm, I currently have both but with stock exhaust. The M156 sounds way better, the M157 doesn't even come close by comparison. Might be because the M156 is in an r230 SL and the M157 is in the e 212. My wife's CLA45 with the performance exhaust sounds better than the M157. This is just my opinion and personal preference comparing them side by side.

Stock vs stock may be a different story. I still really loved the stock sound of my M157 for the first two weeks. It's definitely different, but overall I prefer the TT sound!

You should install the eurocharged x pipe. You'll love it.

in stock form i like the sound of 5.5TT vs 6.2L, but when you put longtube headers on the 6.2L it becomes the loudest car you have ever had lol... like nascar loud! I had LTH on my c63 and it was insane... i loved it but most people wouldnt.... but it did suck anytime you wanted to accelerate lightly while a cop was around because basically any tough of the throttle was super loud and would draw way too much attention.

my e63 TT is much more civilized in the sound dept and i can take off from a light without setting off car alarms lol
