question,
since its been cold i noticed my breaks began to make noise when coming to full stop and car feels rough when breaking. currently only 900 miles.
is it possible for the breaks to be defective?

All Mercedes that I've been in have done this during cold/rainy weather. From a few specialists that I've spoken to, they've all said it seems to be a trait and a new set of pads/discs doesn't stop it. Infact, I've replaced discs and pads in the past for this same reason, but not been able to cure it. Pretty sure the same will apply when I swap out the brakes on my current E63.

Yes, it's annoying and I hate it too...

my 2014 e63 never did that.
other concern is that when slowing down, brakes feel odd, just not smooth, at times feels shaky.

Are you parking the car outside or washing it and putting it away without taking it for a drive afterwards? The only time I've had this happen is when they've been wet and left to dry on their own. Seems like a bit of corrosion builds up and makes the brakes rough for a short period of time. Once the corrosion has been worn off they return to normal. It has happened to all my Mercedes including the 2014 E63.

Did you bed the pads in properly? My guess is that you have uneven pad deposit. Try re-bedding the pads and see what happens.

I think one of the main reason, the quality of pads/shims..!,

my friend replaced his 2014 E63 Rotors & pads, he just done less than 800km, brakes start squealing..!, when we pulled out the pads, noticed they were "Textar", which i believe not suitable for power stop range & heat resistance..!?!,

we replaced it with "Brembo/Jurid", now he almost done 2400km, without any squealing, and the power stop is stronger & more aggressive..!

need more info. from anyone here with another kind of pads..!!

ZAYED,,
