2014 E63 radar detector hard wire (questions after doing some research)
Hey guys, new to the forum and expecting delivery of a 2014 E63 AMG S in a couple weeks.
My first order of business will be to move my radar detector into this car. I've done a search and a bunch of reading on the forum and I still have several questions:
1. The 2014 W212 does not have the 12V outlet in the glove compartment box, correct? If so, the tutorial demonstrating running the wiring into the glovebox along the headliner and A pillar on the passenger side wouldn't work for my car.
2. I've done a search and I'm still confused... Do the 2014 W212s have a fuse panel on the side of the driver steering column (accessible with driver door open)? If so, I was thinking I could tap one of the fuses here.
3. If there is no interior fuse panel in the front of the car as mentioned above, could I tap the rearview mirror as a power source? I saw a post where someone did this on a different model but wasn't sure if this was an option with my car.
Thanks in advance!
