Tuned (Eurocharged) my '14 E63S. Dyno results...

I still have to scan the graph, which I'll try and get to later. Suffice to say, I am quite pleased!

I went back to the same shop (COBB Tuning) where I got my stock baseline numbers--534awhp/561awtq SAE. With just the Eurocharged tune, she put down 575awhp/757awtq SAE. Woot! Note these numbers are off a Mustang dyno.

are you sure its a mustang dyno? those look like dynojet numbers (unless someone really messed with the mustang's settings)

575 awhp/757 trq on mustang would be like around 660 awhp/ 855 trq on dynojet which would be the highest numbers seen from a tune only ever i think

I haven't been able to find any info on tunes for post-2012 E63s on their website. Is it the same as the 2012 tune?

tuned they put down same ~600whp on dynojet (~ 525 whp tuned on mustang dyno )

I was under the impressions the numbers are different since one is RWD and the other AWD. On EC/s website they advertise 643hp which i'm pretty sure is at the crank, considering 15% drivetrain loss its more like 550whp. which tune yields 600whp?

the rwd and awd versions are putting out the same tuned power... there was a good article with lots of dynos on benz boost about it a while back.....all cars and dynos, given the day and temp and elevation etc.... will cause variations but in general all tunes (ams, renntech, EC, weistec, and others) are putting out around 565-610 whp on dynojets

renntech still advertises their tune to put out 582 whp (dynojet) even though many people have gotten 610+whp...

alot of times tuners have a original version of a tune and publish the results to their website and later on, when they tweek the tune and improve upon it, they dont update the results on their website

not sure if this statement is right , I can't put E63 on the dyno but I put my 911 , on mustang dyno , made 550 rwhp , rolling acceleration for both same , 100–200 kph 6.6 seconds , weight different about 800-900 lb which is a lot , so I'm not so sure about 525

You also have to remember Mustang Dynos are also very easily manipulated. There is no such thing as a Mustang dyno, Dyno Dynamics, etc etc dynoing less unless the initial stock numbers are less to begin with.
If I dyno a Biturbo E63 @520-540rwhp stock on a Mustang dyno, it will certainly not dyno 600rwhp stock on a dynojet period!

One more thing, from what several dyno operators have told me, the delta remains the same or extremely close regardless of the type of dyno used. The starting and ending numbers may be more or less but the delta remains very very similar. Meaning you will not "gain" 60rwhp on a Dynojet that will result in a 80rwhp gain on a mustang or dyno dynamics dyno.
The shop that usually dynos my cars has both dyno dynamics and mustang dyno side by side and use them both frequently. They do not see a difference between the two when It comes to delta horsepower

i have a motorcycle that accelerates about the same as my e63 too, does that mean it has the same hp ?

also is that the same 911 thats in your signature that says 700hp?

power to weight ratio man , yes , but the car was upgraided after dyno run .

yes delta is just the difference from start # to end # and is indiscriminate of dyno type and is what should be used for seeing what diff you mods made before and after.... dont think anyone is questioning that

now, the generally correction factor from mustang to dynojet is 1.11-1.14 (depending on who you ask) ... lets take the middle ~1.125, so your 520-540whp mustang = 585-607 whp dynojet

my e55 dyno'd 460 whp on a mustang and 525 whp on dynojet in same weather with same mods ... (thats the same as 540 whp e63 mustang reading going to 607 whp dynojet)

my original point remains the same 575 whp/757wtrq , on tune only m157, sounds like a dynojet number, not a mustang number as the op stated, unless the mustang was manipulated to put out dynojet-like numbers

so, for sake of science, you are saying any car that has same power to weight ratio of another vehicle should run same 60-130mph times always, like in a vacuum?

you dont think coefficient of drag or efficiency of transmission/driveline can lead to a car with a different power to weight ratio running the same times? Like if we replace the 7 speed tranny in your e63 with a 1 speed tranny, you think it will still run the same 60-130mph time even though power to weight ratio and HP remains unchanged?

my point is power to weight ratios and 60-130 time being equal is not a great weigh to interpolate what a car would run on a dyno, since the 911 has a much faster tranny and more efficient driveline and probably a lower coefficient of drag which all could allow a car with lower power to weight ratio run the same 60-130 time as a car with higher power to weight ratio

Exactly , so how e63 runs the same as 911 with less power , slower tranny and higher coefficient of drag ? 😂

since your 911 time at 550 whp must of been a while ago since it has 700whp now, it was a different day... who knows, maybe it was winter and 35F outside when you did the 911 60-130 and the e63s is newer to you so maybe you measured its 60-130 time and it was 90F outside.... you think your car runs same times in way different temps? I have run my e55 4 times different days at the same track and came up with 4 different times ranging from 10.8 to 11.6 with no change in mods.... funny how times dont remain constant

point is there are to many variables going on to extrapolate dyno figure from some 60-130 time run different days on different conditions on different cars with different mods.

until you get your e63 on that same dyno in the same condition with the same configuration, its all just speculation

^ those numbers are huge for a mustang dyno from what i have seen... get that car to a track soon

for comparison here is a tuned M157 with downpipes on mustang dyno (519 whp/ 615 wtrq) ....the guys over at powerhouse performance (the guys that tuned the fastest 10.1 sec E55) also got around 524 whp/625 wtrq out of a tuned M157 on mustang dyno, so 575whp/ 757wtrq has to be a M157 mustang dyno world record

Yes, very curious what that car does at the track

Nice numbers ... How does it drive? How could euro get a whole extra 100lb-ft more than other tuners?

I'm wondering the same thing... Powerhaus Performance said they could squeeze out another psi or so out of my tune, but that would be too aggressive and I'd have the occasional limp mode. I'm more for reliability than performance.

Understood. What I was meaning is this. The car started off at a normal dynojet reading 534awhp/561awtq SAE (what most if not all E63s read on dynojets). I do not think you can just take the end result 575whp/ 757wtrq and multiply it by some factor. The dyno has been calibrated to read dynojet numbers already, there is no 855rwtq involved here or you will have to say the car started with 633rwtq STOCK
