I just picked up a new E63 Wagon and it doesn't have the small storage compartments under the front seat. I've seen these on every other E63. Aren't they supposed to be there?

i believe that is for the fire extinguisher

I have one on each of my seats... May be different for a wagon ... Not sure why it would be different. You definitely can fit a small extinguisher in there but I use it for micro rag, dust brush, etc

It's a good place for sunglasses or weed. Would find out if you can add it

Yeah they're really handy. Does anyone with a '16 wagon have them? I'm thinking they might have just forgot to add them. I hope they didn't leave off any important parts.

Strange you don't have them, I hope they did not stop putting them on as I use them a lot in my 2012 and was hopeful of getting a 2017 when they come out and I hope they did not do away with them to save money or something.

I have a 2016 wagon and the storage compartments are present on the driver and passenger sides. I use them for sunglasses.

I just picked my car up today. No storage under the seat! I asked the delivery guy about it, and he didn't seem to know... just figured it was due to an option that I didn't select, but didn't know what that option could have been.

got mine yesterday. no compartment under seat! mine has the option of designo seats maybe the reason?

My dealer checked on it and apparently MB deleted these at the end of the model run. I said I wanted them and they are trying to get it done.

I am most positive that if the car did not come with them, the seat pan could still possibly necessitate them. All it is, is a bracket riveted to the seat pan and the compartment bolts to the bracket. So even if it were not offered on that car, you could still get it from another car and have it installed. Assuming the holes are in the same place...
