I'm going to do a tune and downpipe, should I get colder plugs like weistec plugs or are the stock ones fine?

Its always been advised to do one step colder plugs when adding a lot more horsepower. I did them as recommended.

It doesn't mean you may experience misfires. Some people get them, some dont.

Are weistec plugs the most commonly used then?

Yes, and I would do the plugs. Stock plugs might hold up until 6/7/8k miles but they will slowly die robbing you of power then resulting in a misfire. Had this happen on my parents gl63 with weistec tune,

I would ask your tuner as well, since some tunes have less hp to run on stock plugs and some offer more with colder plugs. I run the tune with max power and run colder plugs.
