My uncle wants to buy a 2014 E63, however he's not that privy with tuning and whatnot, and I don't want him to get stuck with a previously tuned car. As you know tuning= powertrian warranty void, that's not something I would want him to deal with, especially not with an AMG. So my question is, is there anyway a dealer can check for a tune on the car? I know if the ecu data is sent to Germany, all can be found, but God knows how long that takes, and if they even do that to a car that hasn't experienced a catastrophic malfunction.

Buy used ecu, send both of your ecus to me. I i flash clean the used ecu, then make a copy of your one. You get two ecus that are fully functional with your car. Send one to which ever tuning company you want and get a tune. Leave the second one at home for warranty issues. Or do it local if you find a person who can do it. This will only work with stage 1. Because touching downpipes will be more obvious. Used ecu costs 500$.
