Key and memory question.

Key and memory question.
Is the key fob tied into your setting on M1,2,3? So when I open the door with keyless go, does it remember my settings by the key or just the door panel's memory buttons.
The reason I ask is sometimes my seat auto bolster is on and sometimes I have to hit 1 on the door to make it come on.
I am sure this is topic has been beat to death but just curious.
Thanks

The key fob is not tied to the memory seats , sadly. I would have expected that in an MB.
Did you select the easy entry settings from the steering wheel menu? That will make the seat / steering move upon entry and exit.

yeah but this is MB, and "we will never do that" just like displays, ABS, etc etc... they are cheap and as long we keep buying they will not include the technology. it is $$ out of their pocket

Or they will make it an option and charge you extra for it. However, I am okay without it. It simplifies things and it's not that difficult to just press that button upon entrance.

I recognize I made a mistake by buying MB, but then when you pay over $100k for a car you assume (yes I am wrong) that some basic technology that has been available since the mid 90s will be standard in it. At least my AMGs is neither a luxury daily driver nor proper club racing car. Crap they do not even shift right! Even my spaghetti cars are better on the track and on my way to work. My love for wagons did me this time.

I could have got more tech in a Lexus or Audi and been bored every day
I'm the only driver so I guess I don't care about the memory seats... But I get the frustration

True our engines are worth around $40k, but seat memory and folding mirrors come standard on a Hyuandi (sp). But I can live with whipping 99% of 4 door sedans on the road than having seat memory.

IMHO, it is one button, one rattle, one wind noise at 50mph, one horrible bad service department, one bug too many, one.... it adds up. I compare the AMG to my other cars and I do not get the point of owning it beyond that it is wagon and I love wagons. I just avoid to get on it not consciously but clearly I do as I have less than 4k miles in it over almost a year and that includes a +/-1800mile maiden trip and it was supposed to be my daily driver.

Call me analog, but I only need drive-related items. I, personally, don't need or want anything that's comfort, convenience, or entertainment related except for the AC. That means I would prefer to have cranks for windows, non-leather seats, non-keyless entry/start, manual seat control, no sunroof, etc. Less things to maintain or break, the better. But I do agree the price should reflect the lack of those items.
