Airmatic question

My car has 74,000 miles, 2009 E63

The passenger front strut blew at 50,000 miles a few weeks after the warranty expired. I replaced both fronts with Arnotts. Rear air bags are original.
I need your opinion regarding the air matic suspension. Should I replace the rears before they fail or should I replace all of them with the steel Arnotts springs? How long do the rears usually last? My car is my daily driver.

I plan to keep my car longer now that the dreaded headbolt issue was fixed after a coolant loss. today I finally looked at the repair documentation and they replaced all new headbolts , tappets, breather valve, Cps , plugs and a chain tensioner, intake gasket. Good compression test. Almost a new motor.

Thanks for your advice

My Airmatic system is now sitting at 122,000mi original. I wouldn't worry.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
If the rear ever starts dropping more than usual, have it checked and replaced right away. My SA told me about coming across several cases of people neglecting shocks going bad. That caused significant stress on the airmatic which failed shortly after and led to a much bigger bill than just replacing the shocks.

Of course, I would just replace them with steel springs if possible. Are those springs available for the rear of W212?
