dyno mode

anyone try running in dyno mode and vboxing it? I was reading on other forum that GAD is going from like 3.5 sec 0-62mph (0-100 kph) to 2.6 sec when using dyno mode on one of their builds... obviously some of the torque limitations are raised in dyno mode

Did some reading on this a few months ago and dyno mode offers no extra power and removes no limitations on torque or rpm limitations

The 0-60 claim doesn't sound right

the 0-60 claim is on 983 chp , so if our 577 chp stock cars can do it in ~ 3.7 sec i would hope an extra 406 chp can reduce 0-60 by 1.1 sec

did you notice the parts in bold? GAD is known for their builds going way beyond just a tune (plus getting a tune wouldnt be considered "a build" ) ... kinda of like if you mention AMS/GTR build , or UGR/ lambo build , you know they are not doing a build for only small hp gain

I am always in Dyno mode.. The dash lights so kind of annoy me though

I know what ya mean. Put the wife's in dyno mode to put it on the dyno & she freaked out when she got in it the next day to go somewhere & the dash was a lit up.

To answer another question in here, it's my understanding dyno mode turns off the tq limiting & wheel speed sensors/abs in the ECM.

thats what i was hearing on the the other boost forum... also heard over there that the stage 3 c63 that runs 9.7 1/4 and 185 mph 1/2 mile did the 1/2 mile run in dyno mode
