Trnasmission slipping?

I have a 2010. sometimes in manual mode when I downshift the tranny initially starts to engine brake and then quickly seems to go into neutral with no engine braking. Is this normal?

...not normal buddy

For what it's worth, I wonder if mine isn't too far behind yours. When I hit the throttle from a stop, there's a noticeable delay in the transmission engaging or the car actually responding to do anything. Part of me wonders if it's related to my throttle body issue, or if it's the clutches in the tranny. I really struggle to light the tyres from a stop in first gear even at WOT.

I tried searching sporadically every now and again for the last 6 months or so. It's got to the point where I don't really care and if/when it breaks, I'll just fix it.

I think I tried a while back, but I'm sure I did it wrong because I never noticed any difference after doing it. That being said, Eurocharged reset it for me last December when they replaced the solenoids in the valvebody and it's at least shifting smoother than it used to now, so I'm happy in that respect.

Can you elaborate more please or let me know under what area to search for info about this on? I'm curious to know if this is a transmission issue or throttle/tps related issue.

easy way to check if the trans is slipping or if it is SW related.

M mode - put the car in the highest gear it will go. once it is coasting give it 100% throttle (this is when the trans will have the max load on it) if the revs jumps without any power then you know one of the clutch baskets is worn out.

Thanks Shardul

In that case, I'll do 39mph in 7th gear (lowest speed possible in 7th == approx 1000rpm) and then go WOT.

I'll report back on what the outcome is.
