Lol I see. I like blue cars myself but couldn't wait and didn't want to order one. For me it was more like anything but black but white was a plus.
There is a used car dealer in Connecticut that has had a blue wagon for quite some time. I think there is a story behind it cause no-one has picked it up

My '14 is hard to look at ... I approach it with squint-eyes and a hand held up. Once inside I'm pretty fracking happy though. Wish there was some other interior beside black. People who order $100k+ cars actually prefer black over every other leather option? Really ?
I would have ordered Cardinal Red with Amaretto leather. There was one in Pittsburgh that sold in 3 seconds. I was one second late.

Hi Tony.
That's the only way to get these ( off lease ) unless you live where people order them (where the millionaires congregate).
I saw one at my local MB dealership -- 5 miles away, and it was sold before it made the internet... shipped to Boston.
I bought mine sight-unseen after looking ~ 2 years and missing a few heart-breakers (Cardinal Red/Amaretto, every option)... but before signing decided to drive down to Bethesda... ended up driving it home and having my SL trucked back to me. Was a very good idea. Passed the Acela on the way home... actually, the Acela passed me on a long straight section of 495 below PHilly, and I caught up to it and passed it.
These cars are murderers.
I don't like the paint or the interior colours, but the wheels and B+O pushed me over and I couldn't wait any more after selling my bespoke VR
I don't like the loud exhaust... wish there was an off button (there are so many options on the menus).
The carbon brakes are grabby ... you have to imagine that the brake pedal is a cactus.
That said ...
... absolute power corrupts absolutely !

‘17 Carrera GTS, ‘16 E63 Estate, 1965 Shelby Cobra and a few more
global production is about 225 vehicles per year, half of that hits the US market.
My wife has a 2016 wagon. Silver and black interior, carbon fiber trim. She loves it.

weird thing ... i've kept the beast in the shed these past weeks ... it seems unseemly to get groceries in this monster.
The trip from the dealer in Behtesda to philly was awesome. And then an out and back to the shore ~ 500 km total but mostly on freeways with light traffic ( but with wife-brake).
Taking another trip down the ACE tomorrow AM.
still looking for a name ...
it's not anything like any car I've ever owned ... so massive ... so awesomely powerful...

Just became a proud owner of a 14 E63 wagon! Black with designo white leather. So much power! Also practical! I just stuffed a huge cabinet in the trunk to bring something from work to home and surprised to see just how much space it has. Can't wait to enjoy the future miles.

BTW... PeteW... were you a V70R owner? Your posts are hilarious and you sound just like a guy who used the same screen name on swedespeed. I enjoy your humor, and like your taste in cars, but Cardinal Red with brown seats?? Really? Just to get worst combo award?

I looked and looked and looked at that car. Price seemed way high for a sketchy history. Pretty color though (see this lunar blue in full sun !). Were I closer I would have gone to drive it. These hot wagons are not easy distance to potential buyers. You either live in FL / CA or you order one new. I almost ordered new one, but they get more ugly every year... the 2018 wagons are the worst yet,.. inside and out.
