Cruise Control not Engaging
2011 E63 with cruise control not engaging.
Kind of weird. No malfunction messages. No other issues of any kind. when I lift the lever upward to engage, even with no cars in front of me, it does not engage. The dash cluster displays the distronic stuff normally when I lift the lever. The radar sensor is enabled as evidenced by the warning lights and beeps that occur when approaching anything quickly.
Could it have anything to do with which mode the car is in? like S, S+, etc? ESP on or off?
I know the cruise with distronic was working about a year ago and I was able to set the following-distance and such successfully. I don't use CC much though ever, so not certain how long it may have been like this.
Is it possible my tune from Eurocharged (V5) could have anything to do with this?
Any and all useful help is appreciated!

UPDATE:
CC works just fine! It was the traction control in sport mode. Turned that off and boom. I set that button all the time out of habit at startup unless it is wet outside.
Interesting that I couldn't find anything in the owner manual in CC section about the traction control button. I didn't look under the TC button section though. Maybe it's there. Doesn't matter at this point I guess.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Just happened to be driving by the dealership whe it happened one time. Brought it in and of course after the sa restarted it in C. Distronic worked perfectly. Felt dumb, but not as bad as when I thought there was a steering noise after they replaced the ESP module. Went for a ride with the sa in shotgun. He definitely heard the noise, but by the 4th right turn, (only did it in right turns). He starts laughing. Turns out one of the kids left a pull back toy car right behind my seat. So every time I would turn right, the car would "pull back" then upon straightening the wheel the car would propel itself forward a little. Definitely left that day with my head down.
