My new E63 project (and introduction)
I recently purchased my first Mercedes, a 2012 e63 AMG. I wanted to start a thread for the car to document some of my progress on the project, and to introduce myself and the car to the community.
I'm Ken, this is my 31st car in the past 17years (I have a problem, I know), and I'm super happy to own it! It's pretty stock at the moment, and will more than likely stay that way for the duration of my ownership. Mods that the previous owner installed are as follows! Renntech mufflers, Rohana wheels, carbon fiber mirrors, lip, and trunk spoiler, and a matte wrap.
I sent the Ecu out to eurocharged last week, and can't wait to get it back in the car in the near future I've contemplated downpipes, but haven't made a decision on that quite yet, we'll see how the tune makes me feel without them.
I'm planning on swapping the stock wheels back on to the car the next warm weekend I get, and perhaps getting rid of the Rohana wheels and Nitto Invos to help fund a set of downpipes if I decide to go that route. The car has some trimnissues that I'll rectify... I'm not a fan of the wood interior panels up front, and the silver on the factory steering wheel is delaminating a bit. I'll be refinishing those pieces for sure. Other than that, I don't have many plans for the car, it's damn near perfect as it sits!
On to some photos! I'll include a couple of my other more involved current project, my 2004 mazdaspeed miata, as well!

Congrats and welcome. Looks great! Digging the matte wrap.
Why are you removing the wheels? Fitment, condition, looks? I ask as I'm looking at those Rohana and similar 10 spoke options.

Only reason I'm planning on removing them is personal taste. I like a bit more sidewall and I have the OEM wheels with new tires in my basement. I figure I can let the Rohana wheels go and offset the cost of a set of downpipes, or parts for my other project. I actually have 5 of the Rohana wheels (an extra rear with a brand new tire, has repairable curb rash on that wheel)

Tune update! Ecu came back today, headed home on my lunch hour and reinstalled it . I can't stop grinning, the car is a monster All the great things about the E63 are unchanged, with the addition of rawness on demand. I've only managed to put about twenty miles on the car today, but so far I can't be happier with my decision to have Eurocharged do the tune for me.
