Just received my new black hood badge from ebay will install when car is finished from detailer. The badge is made of aluminum and I don't want it to rub the paint surface Is there something you put between the badge and hood? On my old flat hood badge, I put a cork gasket between it.

Is that the same size as the stock emblem ?

Can you take a better pic of the front and back please?

I have a full hood clear bra so the badge will be ok , maybe you can get a small piece of vinyl and stick it to the back it will be nice and thin too and won't scratch the hood

Throw some 3M tape under it. It will act as extra adhesion to keep dirt out, as well as padding to not scratch the paint. :-)
