Hey guys,

Just got my Eurocharged tune done and initial impressions, SIGNIFICANTLY faster. The 1-2 shift seems to break traction slightly and it almost feels like it has to hook up again to put the power down in 2nd which is awesome. I need to figure out how to post a video of it, but the acceleration is legit brutal now (pretty much what I felt like I was missing out on). If your car doesn't scare you a bit and make you go "should I really go WOT?" then I think you need more power.

Ok, that aside, after doing some 5-60 runs to test out the new tune, I drove it home (not a very long distance). The oil was like 210 ish in temp, so nothing crazy.

I parked it and the engine smelled "hot"...like you'd been running it. Hard to explain but I assume most of you guys know. The smells didn't worry me but there was all kinds of crazy pinging sounds like you might hear in a radiator in an old house with steam or something. i.e- rapidly heating and cooling stuff. I've heard it on other cars but this was pretty loud.

Yeah, that is normal. It's just the exhaust.

 

Ha, ok good. You know how it is when you add something new to the car and you're suddenly like "wait...was that there before?!?!?"

I drive like a grandmother most of the time apparently, but I like knowing I have all the extra juice when I need it
