Currently just have a resonator delete replaced with an X pipe. Want to remove the mufflers for a little more noise. I know it's loud already as is, but want it to be louder. Anyone remove both mufflers + resonator?

i'm thinking back to my old Audi S4 days, but thought for turbo cars you need some back pressure otherwise you will lose boost?
with x-pipe at WOT the sound is pure heaven - absolutely love it!!!

Straight pipes are louder, X-pipe is a more refined noise as if it were stock, and loud when WOT. Straight pipes are way louder when WOT and louder than X-pipe during idle. But there is a bit more drone and vibrations in the cabin.

The turbo exhaust is designed specifically for forced induction. I wouldn't rip the mufflers off. I love the noise too, but you're potential to lose boost, have idle issues and definitely throw a CEL are almost certain. You could always get under the car, do some measuring and put some high flow mufflers on yourself (at an exhaust shop). I really don't think just ripping the mufflers off will be beneficial.

Its a turbo car, Pressurized air pump...it wants the wasted hot air out as fast as possible...Its not a NA car, you dont need back pressure. Especially with how small the stock turbos are....But the CEL does need to be addressed if removing cats..
