Testing waters...2012 with 46K Miles
I am thinking about possibly selling my car and was wondering if 50K is reasonable considering the mods on the car (you can see the mods on my sig). The dealership replaced the bottom end (pistons, rods, etc.) under factory warranty less than 5K miles due to an oil consumption. I can't remember off top of my head how much oil the engine was burning but I was told it was on the border line "normal" but Mercedes decided to approve the work. The car is currently at the dealerahip to get an inspection before the cpo warranty expires at the end of the month.
In any event, just thought I would ask the forum if 50K is reasonable for my car.
Btw, the car is in overall excellent condition.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Mods dont really add value 50K is steep considering the 14s are going for as low as the high 40s, best bet is to sell ur mods individually and sell the car bone stock to get the most value

Start with CarMax, that way you know where your bottom is. You are probably looking at upper 30s unless you find a specific buyer looking for the mods you have. GLWS!

or just do a Cars.com search for years 2012-2013 e63/W212 and get some data points on what the prices/mileage they are going for. this will give you nationwide data and ability to sort by closest to you to understand supply/pricing in your specific market. if you search cars.com you will see a few 2012-2013 models below 40k with higher mileage

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I think the Wagons command more than the Sedans. The car is a Sedan right? I'd think try mid 40's for a starting asking price. If it were a wagon I would say 50's.

Thanks for the input fellas.
I understand mods don't add 'value' to the car (relatively speaking). I was hoping to find someone who wants to mod the car...willing to pay slightly more than a stock car considering the car is already modded.
I did a nationwide search on autotrader (specifically 2012's) and the cars are priced between 38K-53K. Obviously, the car listed at 38k had high mileage and cars priced 50k+ are wagons. Needless to say, I was surprised to find very few listings.
I guess I might hold on to the car for now unless I find a buyer near my asking price.

After buying and selling a few AMGs I have seen that an out of warranty AMG is a tougher sell especially with the tunes and modifications you have.
The important thing is that you enjoyed the ownership.
