I can't get myself over how the front end looks or I would go for it. The technology, comforts ( front seats that messages both the driver and passenger ), engine, transmission and exhaust are all more advance and the self parking forward and back it great. You guys got to hear the electric valve exhaust. Awesome.

$120K to start?! Wow, that's early 1/3 increase over the previous E63. Of course, no worry because as with any AMG's, price will fall over a cliff in a few years.

generally car's value should fall by about the reduction in principle per month of a typical loan, so on 120K car assuming 60 month term/3% rate then the principle reduction would be around $1,800 per month so figure wait 10 months and get about 18K cheaper....

now of course supply and demand can affect that for better or worse depending on which is greater...

When I campare the prices of the 2016 E63s to the 2018 E63s, there are far more refinement than the engine, transmission and exhaust. For example the active parking ***., which can parallel and perpendicular park all by itself and it can not to only get into a parking space, it can also get out of it. Both driver and passenger Multi-contour massaging and the massive driver display to just name a few. I think the price increase is justifiable comparing a new 2016 vs. 2018 E63s.

AMG price depreciation is a well documented history that AMG owners has known about so either one waits a few months or years to get it or just plunge for the first batch of the new E63s has its share of ups and downs like, when I get smoked by a brand new E63s and the technological advancements of the said vehicle.

You know it's funny you say this , I drove my friends 16 s63 coupe it's nice of course but interior just loses that sports car feel , there's just way too much to look at , I guess I like it a little rough around the edges , that car was just to comfy and like someone else said it reminds me of a cheap strip club

Exhaust sounds great. At least MB has been able to achieve a good sound out of a smaller engine, something BMW cannot do (thinking of the M3/4 in particular, and to a lesser extent, the M5).

It sure sounds even better inside the cabin now the new generation is channeling the sound through speaker into the cabin.

That might not matter to some people, but things like this are major turn-offs and causing me to distant myself from AMG.

Nothing wrong with engine noise coming through the speakers, they could do a software update and make it sound like a 4 second rail dragster if need be

What if the engine noise coming thru the speaker is broken and you spend a large amount of money to fix **** in the engine bay only to realize... its the speakers (some people can be that stupid and not realize its the speakers and not the engine). Fake exhaust tips, fake engine noise, fake one man one engine plaque, driving a big fat phony.

THERES A BUTTON TO MAKE AN AMG QUIETER? So you can chose to be e300 on command? Great...

Things I learned (TIL) today:

1) Piped engine noise in the new car. Lame...just lame. AMG's are usually some of the best if not the best sounding in the market. If they have a valved exhaust it seems crazy to pipe noise in. Maybe if the sound system is good enough you won't notice the fakeness. I've heard the B&O M5 and I wasn't super impressed.
2) free piston and connecting rod with purchase of car? What is this, an E46 M3?

i tried to make a homemade version of this, to impress a stripper, by hooking a garden hose up to the exhaust and routing the hose in back rear window....

didnt work good as i got super dizzy and the stipper died

moral of story, pumping in exhaust noise is not as preferable as exhaust noise from tail pipe
