because someone has to be the first and looks like no one has wanted to be the first.... you should do it and be first

And we still haven't been able to fully use the 700bhp/800+lb torque already available. Why add more?

At this point I'd put money down that a nitrous set up would perform just as well, if not better, in the 1/4 as any turbo upgrade for less than a tenth of the cost.

And as I've mentioned in a couple of other threads, verify availability of the gas. Nationwide shortage and nearly impossible to get here in Cali. Personally, I am not going to worry about such an install until the stuff is readily available and not $10/pound!

I'm highly concerned that adding NOS could cause my passenger side floor boards to fall out and as anyone knowledgeable about cars knows "You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS [doesn't] blow the welds on the intake"
Joking aside, I still think that if you bought an AMG for 1/4 mile racing, you may have purchased the wrong car. I feel like 95% of the AMG crew is the effortless always-on power vs "MEGA POWER FOR SHORT PERIODS" kind of person.
As the depreciation demons catches up to us, I suspect that the tuner/supra kind of crowd might start pushing the limits more.

I've talked to a couple people running it on the M157. From what they've said it doesn't seem to make the "wheel Power" on the dyno that it should. Maybe that is from the Torque Limits set in either the ECU or TCU. Not sure. Could be where they placed the nozzle(s) I'd think a good 100 shot on some race gas would be much more effective than turbo upgrade for the money.

I think that's exactly why many purchase an AMG over its BMW/etc counterpart. They're straight line missiles and many of us that have owned previous gen E class or above AMGs are feeling a little disappointed this time.

A progressive system would be good for these cars with all the torque management in the first couple gears, on a 100 or 150 shot maybe add 30% at the 330, another 30%(60 % total) at 1/8 and 100% by the 770ish. I would definitely like to see someone try it, should be cool.

I've had nitrous in a previous car. It's a cheap way to go fast at the track, but useless on the street. I suspect most of us are looking for everyday power. Only a minority of us see a track regularly.

For me, it was no less useless than meth.... it came on at a set start point and peaked out at wot... only thing i had to do was refill the nos bottle just like i had to refill meth tank
