E-Code Headlights S212 / W212 E63...
Does anyone know of a vendor or source to purchase Euro Spec headlights which are LHD / Right Side Traffic? I would like to swap out the headlights from my NAR E63 when I take delivery.

I don't think I will have too much of a sticker shock if they're anything like the Q7 headlights cost. If they are a great deal more than it may not be worth it.

As of now, the supplier will only sell to MB so pricing is basically dealer pricing in EU. Looking at > $3600 USD plus shipping from EU. Not to mention no one has done it so there is uncertainty on exactly which housing is needed and coding if any is required.
I can get in touch with my contact again and see if he's able to find for less or if you are fine with that, I can put you in touch with him.

Typically better visibility, increased light output, sharper beam cut-off but more important is the fact that there is no ugly amber reflector involved.

I dunno about the light output, but the LED setup is pretty bright.

See, I actually don't find anything wrong with the lighting so for me it would only be for the amber light and reflector. Wasn't willing to do $800 for the SQ5, so definitely not doing it for >$3k.
I did it for my A4 and found them to make a huge difference, but from what I've seen the current generation of lights aren't as different as the EU ones these days IMO.

can the headlight be separated like the old days? if so the reflector could be swapped out with a euro spec one or a custom clear one.
Our outdated laws and archaic regulations do not give us the same lighting options other regions have. Audi LED headlights are amazing but their Matrix versions in the EU are by far the best in the industry at the moment... sadly we do not get them here and cannot until laws are changed.
i do not know if you had the led headlights on your bmw but other regions had the same headlights but different coding. no changes needed in regards to hardware when it came to lhd vs lhd. somewhere on the audi forums i have headlights taken apart going back to the B5 S4 days showing the differences between e-code headlights and the NAR headlights... but outside of the matrix headlights i do not know if the LED are any better or worse when coded the same.

If anyone has additional information such as part numbers or if some sort of coding is needed please share. I am sure there are many others on here that may have interest in this upgrade.

Multiple headlights are in the parts catalog so we have to narrow down which is what and the correct application. I remember on some of the Audis I had there were about four to six different versions depending on region and options.
Perhaps a member on here from Germany can post the P/N for their LED headlight. We could use that as a starting point for LHD LED Adaptive IFS.

oh wow... how does that even happen?
on the CLK550 it happened. replaced under warranty. then happened again and they declined. body shop sanded and restored but it only lasted a few months. i thought this carried over into the newer platforms.

Found these online and it appears the covers are serviceable and replaceable.
Perhaps someone would like to take them off and see if the amber reflector could be pried out without looking like a DIY "Mod".
