Exclamation Navigation Display Direction, Orientation & Positioning...

I cannot find a setting for it and to have it with point north is rather annoying.
Is there a way to change the map view to direction of travel?

Found it through online manual.

For future reference:

Is there a way to disable the annoying split-screen on the navigation? I find it redundant since I have the information clearer on the cluster MFD and do not need it on the main screen.

I'm pretty sure you can get rid of splitview in the navi menu

Is there a hidden sub-menu or folder it may be buried in? I cannot find it and the folks over at the dealership told me "Just drive it will go away" which was not a suitable response and I asked them to look into the matter further to find a proper response and resolution.

I'm not sure if it's the same for you, but I went out to the car a moment ago and couldn't find any submenus until I selected a destination and began route guidance, at which point the 'Navi' softkey displayed an arrowhead at the lower right, indicating more menu options were available.

Thanks. I will look there but I do not recall there being a disable/enable function for split screen only for text and compass.

I found nothing there that would allow me to disable the split screen.

After playing around with this for some time, I have to imagine it is a permanent setting... If it isn't can someone on here point me in the right direction on how to disable this?

I tried each option. None of them remove the split screen.

According to MB Delivery Specialist there is no way to disable this nonsense. It is a permanent "feature" (nuisance).

On 2016+ any chance the split screen could be disabled?

I don’t have the split screen. I’ll take a look if there is an option to turn on or maybe it’s just the norm.

Sorry. I haven't forgotten. I just keep forgetting when I'm in the car. Have a reminder set in my phone now.

I didn’t see any option to make a split screen. There is a little compass icon on the bottom of the screen but nothing that shows up as half the screen to the right.

Here are images from highway and surface streets.

Thanks for looking into this... Perhaps it is safe to assume it was corrected in the updated navigation.

Nope. No luck on this. 2016 Still has this worthless and redundant split screen setting hard-coded into the GUI. Boo-Hiss.
