Water temp always min 40C
Hi guys I just noticed this as the temperatures start to drop.
The oil temperature seems to correspond with the outdoor ambient temp but my water temp never seems to drop below 40 degrees centigrade. So if it’s 10 centigrade outside my oil will be 10 centigrade but my coolant water will still be 40.
Any ideas?

Where I live, ambient temps can go well below zero. I regularly see oil and coolant temps of -15C on the digital display in the cold months when the car has been sitting overnight. Once the car is started, coolant temps warm up immediately to ~90C, oil can take 1/2 hour of driving to warm up.

I've driven Home In winter never getting to operating/"white" temps after 40 min of driving (outdoor temp 0-20F) ... usually some bumper to bumper traffic and stopping at lights will get it warmed up faster ... highway driving is mostly what I do and that actually makes the engine oil temp seemingly drop sometimes in frigid conditions
