Does the AMG gear selector module need to be coded?
Hey guys,
A friend of mine needs to replace his gear selector, the module with the P R N D.
The Mercedes dealership told him to go buy a second hand one and put it in himself. His part number is 2122670200. I have one but the part number is 2122670424. It's from the same year car, 2010 E63 AMG.
Will it work or will it need to be coded and can it in fact be coded as it's not a virgin? Also, does it make a difference if it's the exact same part number or another variant of it?
