Is there really that big of a diff. Between using a fram or mann oil filter? And whats the part number for the filter.

Yes, do not use an aftermarket filter on a $10,000+ engine.

Agreed. i always get mine from the dealer or from a site that offers genuine MB parts. even on my $400 w123 300d i won't use anything other than WIX or Mann

The Hengst is the company that makes the OEM filter for many of the AMG engines. Mann makes the filters for many E350, E500 and other Mercedes.
