Thermostat issue?
lately I need to crank the hvac to 80 to feel some heat on the interior in full AUTO mode ... otherwise cool air blows through the vents

HA! Now that you mention this. It was 65F here in NY today (Sunny and warm for 65F). Drove out to LI and I noticed the air coming out the vents was a bit on the chilly side while the temp was set at 70F... During the winter I'd been cooking at that setting. I think it's just some weird ambient temp thing.
