Replacing faulty wing mirror indicator

Hello all,

does anyone know the cost to have a dealer replace the led in the wing mirror housing? Mine said it was faulty this morning and I don’t think it’s an easy fix to do myself looking online.

I don't know the cost from dealer, but from various online sites, ranging from $20-$100 for parts. The LED part itself is screwed on to the upper housing by 2 screws and 2 clips. I had to transfer my led indicator from oem to carbon fiber housing.

Yeah OEM housing was easy to snap on and off. The indicator itself took some time fumbling, but easy. 15 minutes for one side, 5 for the other once I knew what I was doing and what to look for.

Here is the side view mirror casing removal video. Don't know the cost to just replace the LED lights ( turn indicator ), but it should be too bad.

If you don't have CF mirrors and want them. It might be a wise idea to replace them because you can actually get the CF housing and the LED light as a set for like $250-300 for replacement housing.

Yes sir. I also used that above youtube video before going at it.

I bought a CF housing without LED ($100), but as stated by S63, you could get them for higher cost with. One thing to note, my CF mirrors now blocks my view of the led light while inside my car. I used to be able to see when my wing mirror signal (aside from the dash light) is on with the light at the very edge, now it is blocked. Probably should have bought better quality one, but it looks great!
