Go through all the motions to get Racestart active, but before you floor it to actually get going, hold the traction control button till you have full off (remember to be in sport position before you start).
Floor and go

Just recently I had AMS dyno tune my car. Let me just say that my car feel amazing!
Here is a list of mods:
AMS tune
Upgraded turbo's honed out inlet with larger wheel and clipped exhaust
3" pipes from the turbo's back with 200 cell cats and magna flow muffler's
AMS carbon fiber intake
Trunk tank 3 gallon capacity
All 3 heat exchangers upgraded (larger)
Speedriven installed the hardware.
I ran the car at the track with my Toyo R888's for hookup and this is what happened on the first run. I think I launched it around 1800 rpm. I was shocked to see my 60ft time under 1.6
I am contemplating purchasing the TCU tune from Renntech. The only thing that is bothering me is my mph, seems to be low.
What do you guys think?

I read it from another member some time back but it goes something like this:
Go through all the motions to get Racestart active, but before you floor it to actually get going, hold the traction control button till you have full off (remember to be in sport position before you start).

I think it did...I tried it out a few times but I'm having spark plug issues....wont pull past 5500 rpm..starts bouncing the needle...ran 11.27 @124mph....my best run so far was 11.24 at 129mph 3 weeks ago...so I'm guessing it did help in the start but then my plugs held me back (Im running 105 octane) need some better plugs asap..I had the weistec plugs and they only lasted for 2 months (600 miles but in race gas only)
The tricky thing is to figure out exact time to push ans hold thr button that turns traction off all the way...it seams like that I can launch it in sport plus and as soon as it starts moving it turns traction off all the way...have not been able to launch it on race start with traction off completely...but will try again once I change my plugs...
again thx for the tip
I'm at 2700 ft altitude btw...

you could try higher octane fuel and see if that helps ur trap speed. Otherwise your turbos are performing no better than OEM.

I just brake torqued the car to 1800 rpm. I had my Toyo R888's on the car during that run. The AMS tune definitely made a big difference in the way the car launches, boost comes on hard! Although I'm not happy with my mph.

Who built your turbos? Based on your time slip they're producing about 670 to 680 horsepower. I've seen this a number of times with upgraded turbos using factory machined housings. I've been through the same experience myself with W3. Same trap speed as your car. Same trap speed as my friends unmodified 2018 E63.
Perhaps take it to a place that can Dyno tune like AMS or EC. The likelihood that they could unlock 100 + missing hp is low but you won't know if you don't try.
your 60 foot time shows me that is not simply TCU tuning - AMS seems to have figured out how to program a solid launch with the ECU.

Let’s be a little honest here. If this was a one time only 60ft it means absolutely nothing. We need to see a few timeslips before considering anyone unlocked or figured out anything.

Had the RennTech TCU software loaded yesterday @Axel's Automotive, Lake Bluff IL. Nick Knauz was very helpful, scheduled the upgrade and had the equipment shipped from Florida the day before. Took about 1/2 hour. The change is noticeable. Initial impressions are, improved response and much more tire spin . Yesterday was warm ( 85 ) and Race Launch was useless, spun and short shifted 1-2-3. Below are reports from a V-box like device, Dragy. 3.48 0-60 was done just before the TCU update and 3.28 0-60 done just after. Mash and go in Sport+ and traction in sport.
Thanks Savage!

Hi guys just so you all know I am a Service Advisor at Mercedes Benz so feel free to PM me any questions.
Also if you bring your vehicle in for annual service we do not touch you TCU or ECU. those units are only looked at if you complain about something with the engine or transmission or if there is a recall regarding a software update
I am the tuner friendly advisor at my dealer, i have about 30 clients with highly tuned AMGs.

Savage - hey I may have missed it in the thread but did you have quarter mile or 60 ft or 0-60 times logged comparing your AMS tune only and then comparing AMS tune with TCU tune from rematch?
The screen shots in the thread showing numbers wasn’t clear to me if the baseline times were stock setup or the AMS tune only vs AMS + TCU tune.
