Plug life....
Seeing the thread yesterday on plug replacement made me think....should I replace mine based on age?
She is a 2012--6 years old--but just turned 31k miles. Of course, it does get stupid hot down here. I don't have any issues, fires on the first twist (push) and makes good power. My car is pretty close to stock...modified box and resonator delete.
So, if I need them--and I'm not sure I do--use the OE or...? I went to the one step colder plug in my e55 and it was much happier, but it had Renntech pullies, injectors, and software. Perhaps the moneyh is better spent update the cooling. Thanks for your answers in advance...

You may already be in trouble. Leaving spark plugs threaded into the cylinder head for so long, regardless of miles, can almost guarantee that they are seized in place. I would have them replaced very soon.

I have a 2012 and did the spark plugs when i did my tune around 25K miles. None of them were stuck but i would order all new boots. I broke six of them trying to get them out. Also get some di-electric grease for the new boots.

I went OE plugs. The part number has been updated to the newer plugs. If you are tuned I would go with a smaller Gap. There are a ton of threads about spark plug gap with tune.

What do you guys think of this plug?
Bosch ZR6SII3320

I've looking getting a Eurocharged tune and I've been researching spark plugs. Those Bosch ZR6SII3320 are the OEM plugs (Bosch heat range 6) for the W212 E63 M157. From what I can tell based on chart cross-references, alternative plugs you can use are the Denso 3495 (FXU22HR11; Denso heat range 22) which is 1 step colder or the NGK 97506 (SILZKBR8D8S; NGK heat range 8) which is 2 steps colder than the Bosch plugs. All of the above plugs are 'long-life" iridium plugs (they are constructed of either double iridium (Bosch) or iridium/platinum (Denso/NGK) center electrode/ground electrode combinations).
All manufacturers use different heat range ratings, but the cross-reference chart helps determine the correct heat ranges of each spark plug offering.
