Is this a jack point ?

On my '12 E63 there is a oblong rubber block maybe 4in.x3in. sticking through the front belly pan, about 1 1/2 ft back from the bumper cover, that I think is a jack point but just want to be sure. It's mounted to the subrame. Thanks for any and all help. Be safe.

i have used this spot on my car already , but on my 14 e63 i thought it was rubber but it is plastic with a push pin in the center to hold it in the body.
how i learned this was plastic was one day i was jacking the car up and the jack was 3/4 on this block i thought it was fully on ,so as i was jacking the car it fell because the jack cut the plastic block right in half ,
the jack went through my lower engine cover, cracked my fan/shroud and bent in one of my radiator tubes , i replaced everything to brand new, if you use that loacation please use caution ,
I jacked up a million cars in my day ,jack stands etc ,that day was not my lucky day but then again i could have been worse me getting crushed or worse mechanical damage

Not being able to find a satisfactory location to place a jack stand while lifting with a floor jack is what led me to purchase a pair of jackpoint jack stands (http://www.jackpointjackstands.com) that arrived earlier this week. Going to use them this weekend to do a brake job on the wagon. Test fit the 'block pads' and they will not interfere with the side sills on my '14 wagon.

I got on the wait list 2 months ago, so be prepared for a wait.

Jackpoint Jackstands work perfect on the S212 AMG wagon. They aren't super tall so if you are doing something that requires a lot of vertical clearance they may not work well but for getting two wheels off at a time a pair is perfect.

Also, these cars are heavy, the blue HF jack pictured just barely worked, I switched to a larger Arcan that just barely fit in the jack stands.

Nice , I have that same jack , I love idea of these , how much clearance is there between the ground and the tire , it’s hard to tell?

Just an inch or so, enough to easily get the tire on and off using my feet as guides on the bottom

Short enough that torquing the caliper bolts was a pain as you're going to a high enough torque that you need some good leverage and body positioning to achieve but you can't put the wrench straight down as it will hit the ground and angled to the back you've got a narrow arc before you hit the wheel well. Mostly a problem with the rears, the fronts if you turn the wheels accessibility is much improved.

I have used that jack point many times on my 12 E63. I can jack up the front of the car evenly then put jack stands where the subframe and suspension meet. This will allow you to safely work under your car.

Came across this thread and was about to tell my story of the same thing. My jack slipped when I was lifting it (lowered car) and went through the belly pan, destroyed the radiator fan and eventually a rubber transmission line. I replaced the radiator fan myself but had to use the dealership for the transmission line. It ended up being ~$1200 once it was all fixed. That was a really bad month for the car :-/

And now and for the future, I have stone steps from an older walkway in my backyard. Theyre about 1.5ft in diameter and an inch in thickness. I now drive the car up on to them and then jack from that point if I have to put jack stands on to get to the engine for oil changes and other things.

Yeah that sucks I feel your pain ,I will never use that location again !!! I have a set of nice race ramps for oil changes that’s much easier and safer than jack and stands, I’m going to get a set of the jack point jack stands too for good measure

Lol it happens, sadly, I replaced the fan, had it for 2 days, got in a fender bender with my rear suspension (only a scratch on the body) and then got it back. 3 days later the transmission line ruptured. Literally the most ridiculous month when looking at my bank account :-( Thankfully, they replaced my rear wheel via cash so I got my new Rohanas out of the deal
