Taking my '14 AMS tuned E63 to Gingerman Road Track Friday,

Hey guys,

I'm excited to take my car to the track for the first time since I've owned it. I've done some track days in the past, some autocross, etc. The car has an AMS tune so it's pretty damn peppy. I'm wondering how I'll fare against the other cars in this group of novice drivers but particularly interested to see how I'll stack up against my buddies Tesla P100D. I know stop light to stop light, he'll take my lunch money but I think in a 1/2 mile straight, I might check out on him. Does anyone have any experience with how the P100D does on a race track like Gingerman, especially compared to a massaged E63? Either way, this will be a ton of fun! I'll be curious to see what other cars will be there.

In a 1/2mile straight, you’ll catch him at the halfway point and walk away for the rest.

So we had a blast at Gingerman and I wailed on the Tesla. My best time was 2:01 and his was 2:15. We did some roll races on the hwy too and it was an AMG beat down kinda day. lol I drove the **** outta my car that day and smoked the front brakes but had so much fun taking out the entire field of M3's and other cars I would have expected would have picked me off. It was all our first times on the track but I'm probably the most race savy from motorcycles and go karts. Fun day. Need to get some track pads for next time.
