Trying to figure out if anybody has done the switchover from steel brakes to carbon brakes, what is involved, do you have to replace the backing plates, if so I’m assuming as 99% of the cars you have to take the hubs off? My front left Rotor has hard/ hot spots and I did turn the rotors and ground them out and still have a shake at speeds; when the brakes are applied of course. I am fighting whether to replace with carbon breaks or just replace the rotors upfront with steel rotors ,Have a decent deal on a complete set of ceramic/Carver and rotors pads so forth.
