Also, now maybe you can more appreciate why I came up with my Subwoofer solution (that is easily removed) in some of my other threads. With a high end sub the overall sound quality of the HK system is right there with B&O and I bet my sub on the low end will smoke the B&O too! With my setup I get the best of all worlds.

Thanks for all of the info., guys. I am compiling data and putting it on SS form. It should help when I do my final search.

As far as the spare tire situation goes, I h didn't;t have a spare in either my 335 or my 911 so I will be rolling the dice as usual...I will have MB service and AAA so I'm not too concerned.

I was also interested to look into this, found an ebay listing from what appears to be 'Vlad' - and in the listing it says:

E-Class W212/C207 production 03.2015+ (COMAND only SA531)

So that's cool. Also will help me in my shopping...

Spare vs full size front wheel. ~4-5" diameter difference.

It's almost like the wheel well is perfectly sized for the spare tire or something. If the spare won't fit because of a sub impeding into that space by several inches, a full size certainly won't. And if the spare fit, surely Mercedes would have put it there instead.

Hey - I admit -I was 100% wrong.
Blows my mind MB have different B&O subs for sedan versus wagon! Surely must have to do with the increased power needed to get through the back seats? Since in a wagon the sounds just travels right into he passenger compartment. But then subwoofers ni general shot right through most materials, inculcating seat backs....
Vrod is the expert here.

Or they knew that wagon owners would never go for having a sopare in the trunk since you buy a wagon exactly because you want the practicality while being the fastest car on the block?

Either way - thanks for sharing. And I stand corrected.

Hey, if you're going to commit to truly ruining your spare tire well, you may as well go all the way:

The wagon we bought happens to have carbon fiber inside and out and the engine cover. I never thought I would like it as much as I do. I enjoy it so much that I would seek it next time around. I had the cheesy fake carbon fiber in our 2000 C class sport (didn't have an option for wood). If you are going used and it's between to equal cars get the carbon fiber.
