Square setup?

Been trying to search for this topic but mostly about going square with winter tires.

Can we go 285/30/19s all around on stock rims for a square setup?
My rear pzeros have worn the insides after about 10k mi and looking to get some DWS6's for the rear, wondering if I can squeeze the 285/30s up front too so I can extend the life of a set of tires.

Thanks

I suppose you COULD squeeze 285's on a 9" wide wheel. They will look bulged. As far as "will they bolt right back on"? I dunno. MAYBE you will need some spacers to make it work. I personally wouldn't do it.

Based on the thread title I thought you were gonna ask if you could run 4 wheels of the same width... which you could, so long as the offsets are right.

Thanks for the response. Doesn't seem to be a popular option like it was for my e39 M5.
Guess it's just the price to play. $600 bux a year for rear tires.

2013 E63 Estate
Will work with 10mm spacers and only if not lowered at all. Also will rub on the fender liners at full lock.

I had the brakes to do last night, and my summer Conti ECS 285/30-19's on OEM 9.5" rear wheels sitting there, and a 12.5mm spacer, so I took a swing at what it would take to fit a square, OEM setup.

You'll need at least 15mm, possibly an 18mm spacer for it to work, but I believe it could work. I was able to turn the wheel without hitting anything but with a 12.5mm spacer the tire was rubbing the strut. So, get some 15-18mm spacers, some extended ball seat lug bolts, a spare set of OEM wheels, run the 9.5's square with 285/30-19's and the 9's as winters? COuld be a nice track setup, you can rotate, yada.

I won't be bothering, I'm not interested in dealing with any warranty issues on a car that is covered til 2023, but, there it is, for the archives if anyone decides they want to try this, I think it's doable. No surprise as some aftermarket setups I've seen are a lot bigger up front than the OEM rear setup, a wide but short tire on a relatively narrow wheel.
